Camp Create: A Midtown Art Camp for K-2nd Grade

April 03 2017
April 03 2017

Camp Create is intended to encourage an authentic and soulful community among our children and neighbors in the midtown community.  All rising kindergarten through second grade children are welcome!

Each morning, children will enjoy story time, music, art instruction, games, and a snack.  We invite parents, neighbors, and friends to attend an art show on Friday at 9:00, featuring work the children have completed throughout the week.

Artist Shelley Bolton will be leading the art portion of Camp Create where children will create their own piece of work.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi, with an emphasis on graphic design.  She is currently an art teacher at a local school and abstract painter with acrylics being her medium of choice.  Shelley is also a volunteer with Carpenter Art Garden where she leads classes and has previously headed up a garden mural.
